Dear Parents & Guardians,
Every year the parents of UHill Secondary host a teacher appreciation breakfast to thank the teachers for the time and effort they put into educating our children.

This year the breakfast will take place at the school on Monday, June 22 at 8:00 am in the Upper Learning Commons.

We are looking for volunteers to do the following:

Parents are encouraged to attend the breakfast themselves to meet with and talk to the teachers. However, if you are unable to miss work you can just drop off your food at the school before 8:00 am, thank you.

We are looking for volunteers to do the following:

- Food Donations (20-25 parents): Make and deliver breakfast food such as scones, muffins, fruit salad, fried rice, noodle, pancake, steamed bun, etc… between 7:30 and 8:00 am.
- 食品捐献区（20-25名家长）：在7:30-8:00之间，
早餐准备及分发，如松糕，muffins，水果萨拉，炒饭， 面条，煎饼，包子等等。 - Morning set u-p crew (5 parents): 7:15 to 8:00 am, lay table cloths, flowers, cups, serving spoons, plates etc., receive food and make a nice presentation of lighter items, put up signage to show where the Learning Commons is located.
- 早上现场布置人员（5名家长）：早上7:15-8:00之间，
工作包括桌布铺设，鲜花、杯子、勺子、盆子的摆放；接收食物， 及适当食品摆设布置；早餐会位置告示牌的制作及摆放。 - Clean up crew (5 parents): 9:00 to 10:00 am, clean dishes, move the food to staff room。
- 现场收拾人员（5名家长）：早上9:00-10:00之间，
需要清洁盘子，把食物归类放好

2015/2016年度筹款建议书
Hopefully,
your children have brought you the PAC Education and Extracurricular Enrichment
Initiative (the E3 Initiative) explaining in detail why we are the U Hill
PAC is continuing to push fundraising for the 2014/2015 school year. If
not, you may find a link to the letter on the Blog. Alternatively, please
feel free to contact your PAC executive to discuss it. Our goal is $150,000 by
the end of this year. That works out to a targeted amount per student of
approximately $280. We will accept with gratitude any amount parents can
afford. So far in our efforts, donation amounts have ranged from $20 to
$1,500 per family.
您或者近日已经收到由家委会请学生们转交的课外教育倡议书(E3倡议书)，倡议书上继续为2014/2015年度筹款目标努力。如果您没机会看到该倡议书，您也可以通过在线博客查阅或者直接与家委会的执委会成员联系讨论。我们今年的筹款目标是$15万，按学校人数平均，每位学生捐款额度为$280元，实际上我们接受任何额度的捐款，至今已经收到的（家庭）捐款介乎$20到$1500之间。
The goal
is to have the funds on hand at the end of this year to permit purchases in
time for the start of the 2015/2016 school year for, among other things,
augmentation of the music and drama programs, equipping the laboratories for
advanced placement science, providing funding for other AP courses offered next
year, expansion of technology with additional lap tops, augmentation of the
robotics program, additional athletics equipment and funding to support student
extracurricular school-based activities. With the breadth of initiatives
PAC seeks to support, every child stands to benefit in some way.

AP实验室设备配置，下年度的AP课程资金，笔记本电脑的采购，机器人项目，还有用于支持学生课外活动的体育设备都是资金考虑重点，如果家委会能得到家长们的广泛支持，那每一位学生必将在某些方面收益。
For any
parents with questions about the intended purpose of the fundraising, please
join us at the PAC meeting on Wednesday, June 10 where we are happy
to answer questions. As well, at the PAC meeting, the PAC executive will
be pleased to accept donations together with your donation form (a copy
of which is posted here) and provide these to the school so the
school is able to issue you a tax receipt for any parent who would find that a
convenience.
